Developed by Marsha McCloskey for precision cutting her Feathered Star patterns, this 8-1/2" square ruler is marked for cutting squares in 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", and 1/16" increments --over 50 different sizes from 3/4" to 4-5/16". It can be used for squares, two triangle squares, and four-triangle squares (like the Precision Trimmer 6, only with a lot more square sizes). Fantastic for miniature patchwork as well as for Feathered Stars.

Linda McHenry Hi Marsha- I ordered your new Feathered Star ruler because I teach and I feel I need to know what's out there and how well it works. As an instructor you're always asked what products you use and what products you don’t. I ordered the ruler, never intending to use it but thought I owed it to myself and my students to give it a try. Well – you could have knocked me over with a feather – pardon the pun. I've always been good at eyeballing whenever I needed to cut a 16th – but I must tell you I LOVE THE RULER!! These 63 year old eyes don’t have to guess at it any more and I am tickled pink!! I have a drawer full of rulers I don’t use. This one will be nestled in with the rulers I use regularly – which hang on my wall right by my cutting table. I enjoy the math and numbers part of quilting (as do you I would imagine) but most students do not. Your ruler will take the scariness out of making those cuts that are shown with the dreaded little + after the number.
