Marsha McCloskey's FEATHERED STAR RULER
I'm working on the second Feathered Star block book, Feathered Star Quilt Blocks II: The Best of the Grid-Based Stars, More Really Hard Blocks That Take a Long Time to Make, and am finding many of the shapes are cut in 1/16" increments. I tested a few of the patterns with a classroom of quilters and they found "those" dimensions a little hard to measure with rulers that only go down to 1/8". So I designed a ruler that measures squares in 1", 1/2", 1/4", 1/8", and 1/16" increments --over 50 different sizes from 3/4" to 4-5/16". It can be used for squares, two triangle squares, four-triangle squares (like the Precision Trimmer 6, only in a lot more square sizes) and Flying Geese. I'm finding it fantastic for miniature patchwork as well as for Feathered Stars. The ruler is an 8-1/2" square and will retail for $14.95. Availability, early July, 2009.

The United States Post Office has once again raised prices. When you place an order here, your shipping cost is automatically calculated and added to your total. New shipping costs within the United States will be: $5.25 for 1 item, $6.50 for 2 items, $7.75 for 3 or more items. If your items can be shipped for less, i.e., they all fit in one Flat Rate Priority Mailer, you will only be charged the smaller amount. Some single patterns and rulers can be sent First Class in a smaller envelope for $2.50. If your order can be shipped for less than what is calculated on your order form, it will be.


International shipping will be charged at actual cost beginning at $10.95 for Canada and Mexico and $12.95 for any other country. These prices apply to orders that will fit into a Flat Rate Priority Envelope. If your order will not fit in the Flat Rate envelope, you will be contacted with the new shipping charges for your approval before the order is shipped.
